On October
14, 2004, BAE Systems held a Nimrod reception. Unfortunately the
choice of date was to be a big disappointment with thick rolling
fog obscuring the airfield during the morning, curtailing the planned
display by Kinloss-based Nimrod MR.2, XV244, which
eventually managed to land and park nose-to-nose with the second
