in the annual Round Britain Great Microlight Air Rally set off from
Manchester-Barton on Wednesday June 19, 1996.
1996 was the Rally's 10th Anniversary year, with 70 entrants booked
in, 64 started and 50 finished. Some of the early
arrivals are pictured at the Pilling Sands finish line, Saturday
