East meets West:
the Avro Vulcan, a relic from the Cold War era when it was an integral
part of Britain's Nuclear Deterrent V-Bomber Force, watches as the
AN-124, created by the Soviet Union as a transport aircraft to move
nuclear weapons, touches down at the birthplace of Vulcan design
and production.
Even more ironic is the fact that this former Soviet designed aircraft
is now assisting in the development of the RAF's new Nimrod project.
